Lewis Park & Puntledge River

The Puntledge River is clear and clean. Seals will swim up the river from the mouth, and surprise kayakers, swimmers and people watching. They are curious, and playful, and always chasing something.
Spring progresses, and the warm weather carries optimistic dreams of swimming, gardening and bike riding.

Along the river, used to be a logging mill, but it has been removed, the concrete torn out, and restoration has begun. It is a site of cultural importance to the K’omoks First Nation.
