A video and song I wrote. How I feel about my family and the hierarchy they established and enforced. It was something that affected me as a young person, and it wasn’t until my husband died and I recovered from the grief that I learned how insidious and destructive that force was. Resilience is an understatement describing my effort to overcome the callousness, the coldness, the selfishness, and the ignorance that influenced and hurt me as a child. All cultures and races inflict some form of this on each other and other races. It is something we all should strive to overcome and be the best and kindest human being we can be in the end.
